African fintech company, Payaza Africa, has unveiled Shopaza, an AI-powered commerce platform designed to help merchants across the continent create online stores, manage sales and expand their businesses beyond borders.

The platform was introduced at a launch event in Lagos, bringing together business leaders, technology experts, entrepreneurs and industry stakeholders to discuss the future of digital commerce in Africa.

Shopaza is positioned as an all-in-one digital commerce solution that allows merchants to build online storefronts, manage inventory and receive payments without needing extensive technical knowledge.

The company said the platform was developed to address some of the barriers affecting small and medium-sized businesses, especially merchants who rely mainly on social media platforms such as WhatsApp and Instagram to sell their products but lack a complete digital storefront.
