For only the second time ever, the Met Office has issued a ‘red extreme heat warning’. It’s urging people in South Wales, Southern England and the Midlands to take precautions this Wednesday and Thursday, when temperatures could reach 40 degrees.
That would shatter the June record set in the infamous 1976 heatwave, and scientists are predicting that in 30 years time we could see 45 degree heatwaves, that will change British life as we know it.
