The outage tracker displayed a notice stating that "user reports show problems with X (Twitter)."Users flagged problems across several categories on Downdetector, including the app, login, server connection, feed and timeline, posting and publishing, and website access.The surge in complaints came after reports had remained largely flat over the previous 24 hours, suggesting that the disruption emerged abruptly on Monday evening. The number of reports jumped from 336 at 7:32 pm to 968 by 7:35 pm, a rapid escalation in user complaints.Downdetector aggregates incident reports submitted by users and other sources and notes that the number of reports does not necessarily reflect the total number of affected users.X had not immediately issued an official statement on the reported disruption at the time of writing.
