New economic licences rose 21% in Q1 2026, underscoring strong business formation despite Iran-driven uncertainty.

Commercial licences grew 20%, while professional licences surged 193%, with agriculture, fisheries and livestock activities up 5%.

Industrial momentum continued, with a 3% rise in production-phase licences and 34 new facilities fully operational in Q1.

Active licences increased 12%, alongside gains in Tajer Abu Dhabi up 17% and freelance permits soaring 261%.
