The Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), in its monthly report on the human rights situation in Iran, announced that hundreds of human rights violations were recorded in June across various sectors, including executions, freedom of expression, prisoners’ rights, children’s rights, domestic violence, labor rights, and security crackdowns.

According to the report, 127 death sentences were carried out, 19 individuals were sentenced to death, and the death sentences of 12 people were upheld in June. HRANA also reported 809 arrests related to freedom of expression, along with a combined total of 4,933 months of imprisonment, 766 lashes, and 51 million tomans in monetary fines issued against 80 citizens.

In the prisoners’ rights section, the organization documented 94 violations, including detainees being held incommunicado, prolonged legal limbo, deprivation of legal counsel, lack of medical attention, visitation bans, and hunger strikes.

Furthermore, HRANA reported 12 cases of femicide under domestic violence, 12 violations of children’s rights, and 11 violations of religious minorities’ rights during June.

In the labor sector, 21 deaths and 55 injuries resulting from a lack of workplace safety were recorded, alongside 27 labor protests and 91 months of unpaid wages. The report described the human rights situation in Iran as “alarmingly critical” and called for immediate attention from both domestic and international bodies.
