Three Peel police officers disciplined, denied promotions in cheating scheme

Three Peel Regional Police officers who either “received and/or shared” confidential information in a promotional process have been denied promotions and handed undisclosed discipline.

An investigation into alleged cheating in a promotional process to fill positions at the ranks of “Staff Sergeant/Detective Sergeant” and “Sergeant/Detective” was launched earlier this year following an internal complaint, as first reported by the Star.
