COTABATO CITY — A female police officer who was caught during a buy-bust operation conducted by authorities in Barangay San Isidro, Koronadal City, last week has been cleared of criminal charges, but still faces administrative proceedings that could lead to her dismissal from the police service, authorities said.
Lt Col. Harold Cornel, chief of the Koronadal City Police Office, said the criminal complaint for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, filed against the 35-year-old cop, identified only as “Jane,” was dismissed by the city prosecutor’s office on June 19.
“However, an administrative case for grave misconduct against her remains pending,” Cornel said in a radio interview.
