PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur— Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Zamboanga City Office collared an active police officer and seized suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) worth an estimated P13.6 million in a buy-bust operation in Zamboanga City Saturday afternoon.
The suspect, a 45-year-old police staff sergeant from Tipo-Tipo, Basilan was apprehended during the sting at 5:45 p.m. along Mayor Vitaliano Agan Avenue (Bagong Dalan) in Barangay Sta. Maria, Zamboanga City.
Authorities seized two vacuum-sealed bags containing some 2,000 grams of white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride.
