Of the 5,570 candidates allotted to 12 centres in Dakshina Kannada, 4,343 appeared for the NEET re-examination on Sunday. The remaining 1,227 candidates were absent, an official statement said.The highest number of candidates, 563 out of 720 allotted, appeared for the test at the St. Aloysius Pre-University College Block A centre in Mangaluru.The lowest number, 180 out of 218 allotted candidates, wrote the test at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2, Mangaluru.
