Mysuru division of South Western Railway celebrated International Day of Yoga on Sunday (June 21, 2026) with enthusiasm at the Railway Samudaya Bhavana.On the occasion, Mr. Mudit Mittal, Divisional Railway Manager, emphasised the importance of yoga in promoting a healthy and harmonious society. “Yoga was highlighted as a holistic discipline that nurtures physical fitness, mental well-being, and inner harmony, while contributing to a balanced and meaningful lifestyle,” he said.In view of the increasing pace and stress of modern life, participants were encouraged to make yoga an integral part of their daily routine to achieve improved health, mental calmness, and overall well-being.Senior officers and staff members participated in the yoga session conducted under expert guidance. Yoga trainer Raghu was honoured for remarkable dedication to promoting yoga over the past 23 years.As part of Yoga Day celebrations, similar yoga programmes were also organised at major railway stations across the Mysuru division.
