A 23-year-old suspect at the centre of a case of alleged abduction, unlawful detention, torture and forced recruitment into cybercrime in Enugu State, has admitted during police interrogation, that he operates an internet fraud scheme popularly known as "Yahoo Yahoo."

The suspect, identified as Victor Oruba Nwite from Inyimagu community in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, made the admission in a video confession obtained by SaharaReporters while being questioned by investigators following the escape of three young men who accused him of holding them captive for nearly three months.
The interrogation comes days after SaharaReporters reported how Joseph Ibangwu, Izuchukwu Junior and Miracle Tochukwu allegedly escaped from a residential building located within Helius Estate along the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway, where they claimed they were subjected to torture, starvation and forced cybercrime training.
