ILOILO CITY — To strengthen market readiness and boost the local root crop industry, farmers and producers from across Western Visayas gathered here for a two-day product and market profiling training for ube and taro that concluded on Friday, June 19.
Spearheaded by the Department of Agriculture–Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (DA-AMAD), the initiative aimed to equip root and tuber crop producers with the necessary knowledge and tools to develop commodity profiles, identify emerging market opportunities, and make informed agribusiness decisions.
