ADO-EKITI — Senate Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, has said the ongoing governorship election in Ekiti State could mark a historic turning point in the state’s political landscape, citing impressive voter turnout and widespread enthusiasm among the electorate.
Bamidele made the remark on Saturday after casting his vote at Eyelori Compound, Unit 003, Iyin Ekiti.
Speaking with journalists, the Senate Leader said reports from polling units across the state suggested a strong turnout, expressing confidence that his party would meet its target of securing at least 500,000 votes.
