‘No One Should Challenge Nnamdi Kanu’ — IPOB Labels Dissolved Leaders As Rebels, Threatens Sanctions
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has warned that no individual or organ within the group possesses the authority to challenge decisions made by its leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
IPOB declared members of the dissolved third administration of the Directorate of State (DOS) who continue to lay claim to office as acting outside the group and liable to sanctions.
In a statement issued on Saturday by the group's spokesperson and Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, IPOB said the controversy surrounding the dissolution of the third DOS administration by Kanu was unnecessary, maintaining that the action was lawful and fully backed by the movement’s Code of Conduct.
According to Powerful, the IPOB Code of Conduct remains the supreme governing instrument of the organisation and binds all members without exception, stressing that no department, coordinator, representative or official exists above it.
