Voting has commenced in the ongoing Ekiti State governorship election, with electoral activities beginning at about 8:30am at the polling unit of Governor Biodun Oyebanji in Ikogosi, Ekiti West Local Government Area.
SaharaReporters monitoring the exercise at Polling Unit 003, Foutage of Oyebanji Okelele, Ward 06, Ikogosi, observed that election officials arrived and commenced the accreditation and voting process in line with the schedule announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

However, despite the participation of multiple political parties in the election, only the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has a party agent present at the polling unit as of the time of filing this report.
