Olatunji Disu, Inspector-General of Police, has approved the appointment of

Anietie Okokon Edem Iniedu, a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) of the Nigeria Police Force.

The appointment, announced on Friday by the Force Headquarters in Abuja, seeks to strengthen strategic communication, transparency, and public engagement in support of ongoing policing reforms.

Iniedu, a native of Etinan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, brings to the role extensive experience spanning public communication, intelligence management, operational policing, institutional accountability, and administration.

Before his elevation, he served as Head of the Complaint Response Unit (CRU) at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, where he oversaw public complaint management and spearheaded initiatives aimed at improving accountability, transparency, and public trust in the Nigeria Police Force.
