Saanvi Chitra
Northlands Girls’ High School announced that one of its exceptional pupils, Saanvi Chitra of Grade 11, was awarded first place in the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) Essay Competition held in celebration of 30 Years of Democracy in South Africa. Saanvi’s essay stood out among more than 1,000 entries from across the country. Her insightful and thought-provoking writing not only earned her top honours, but also led to her work being officially published, making her a published author while still in high school. She is contributed to the book, THREE DECADES OF DEMOCRACY, Critical Reflections, which launched on Tuesday.
