Kristu Jayanti University commemorated the 12th International Day of Yoga on June 19 with a special programme organised by its Centre for Yoga and Wellness, and Jayantian Extension Services in collaboration with Sri Sri School of Yoga, The Art of Living. The event was held under the aegis of the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, and aligned with this year’s national theme, ‘Yoga for Healthy Ageing’.The programme was attended by Rev. Fr. Dr. Augustine George, Vice-Chancellor of Kristu Jayanti University, Vasanti S. Iyer, CEO and Director of Sri Sri School of Yoga, The Art of Living, and yoga instructor Rudresh Kumar.Delivering the keynote address, Vasanti Iyer highlighted the relevance of yoga in an era increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence and rapid technological advancements. She noted that while technology has made information readily accessible, it has also contributed to rising stress levels, mental health challenges, and social isolation.
