Greek tourism exhibited strong resilience amid geopolitical turmoil during the first quarter of the year, recording a significant rise in revenues, according to the latest data from the Bank of Greece.

Travel receipts in April surpassed €1.1 billion, registering a 9.5% rise compared with the same month in 2025.

This performance was registered against a backdrop of strong uncertainty in the Gulf region, and despite the successive violations of the fragile truce between the US and Iran on April 8.

The overall performance for the first quarter was more emphatic, with tourism receipts reaching €2.8 billion.

This figure corresponds to a 37% rise (or €753 million more) compared with the same period in 2025.
