The court sentenced a Russian military intelligence agent, who was exposed in the Zaporizhzhia region last July, to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

According to Ukrinform, the Security Service of Ukraine reported this.

The convicted man was mobilized into a local military unit. Based on evidence gathered by the SSU, the court found him guilty under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—treason under martial law.

The investigation established that the suspect passed information to Russian invaders about his battalion and adjacent units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The enemy’s intelligence services focused on data regarding the deployment, strength, and armament of Ukrainian troops in the Zaporizhzhia sector.

The investigation also revealed that the man had made photocopies of documents for the Russians regarding the deployment of new units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the southern front.
