Vice President Kashim Shettima
The Federal Government has ordered an immediate overhaul of security architecture at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Plateau State and other strategic national institutions following the deadly attack by gunmen at the institution.
The Vice President, Kashim Shettima, gave the directive during a visit to NIPSS on Friday, four days after the attackers breached the country’s foremost policy and strategic institution.
Gunmen invaded the institute in the early hours of Tuesday and killed three security personnel before security operatives repelled the attack.
Shettima, who met with the management, staff and participants of Senior Executive Course 48, 2026, said the review was in line with President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to protecting critical national assets across the country.
