Saudi Ambassador and Hokkaido Governor discuss Tourism, Innovation and Future Cooperation
SAPPORO: Dr. Ghazi Faisal Binzagr, Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Japan, paid a courtesy visit to Hokkaido Governor Suzuki Naomichi in Sapporo on Wednesday. The meeting reaffirmed the strong Saudi Japanese relationship and explored opportunities for future cooperation.
Governor Suzuki warmly greeted Ambassador Binzagr and his delegation, expressing gratitude for their visit. He showcased Hokkaido’s breathtaking landscapes, robust tourism network, and sustainability initiatives, while pinpointing key growth areas in tourism, technology, artificial intelligence, and innovation.
Ambassador Binzagr shared the transformative progress of Saudi Vision 2030, highlighting advances in tourism, aviation, economic diversification, and quality of life. He underscored Saudi Arabia’s dedication to embracing global best practices and forging partnerships for sustainable growth and innovation.
The Ambassador highlighted ongoing dialogue between Saudi Arabia and the Tokyu Group, referencing recent meetings with NOMOTO Hirofumi, Chairman of Tokyu Corporation, and FUJIWARA Hirohisa, CFO. Discussions addressed urban development, transportation infrastructure, hospitality, and sustainable communities. Ambassador Binzagr noted that these engagements, including collaboration with Tokyu Hotels & Resorts (THR), have provided valuable insights into Japan’s regional development and revealed clear opportunities for future cooperation.
