Assorted prescription medication allegedly confiscated by police during an Operation Prosper raid in Vrygrond, where expired and unregistered medicines were found on sale at a local premises.
An undocumented 22-year-old foreign national has been arrested in Vrygrond, Muizenberg, after police allegedly discovered expired and prescription medication being sold from a local shop.
According to the South African Police Service (SAPS), members attached to Operation Prosper were conducting patrols in the area on Thursday evening when they received information about the unauthorised sale of medication at a premises in Berg Street.
Police said officers proceeded to the shop and found various medicines displayed on shelves.
"Members were conducting patrols in the Vrygrond, Muizenberg area when they received information about the unauthorised sale of medication at a premises in Berg Street, Vrygrond," SAPS said.
