In the U.S. markets are closed.
In Europe, the Stoxx Europe 600 was flat in morning trading. Nexans added 4.5% and Evonik Industries rose 3.7%. On the other hand, Unite Group sunk 4.5%, and SSAB Series B dropped 4.5%. The FTSE 100 lost 0.1%. Other stocks in Europe were up as France's CAC 40 gained 0.2% and Germany's DAX climbed 0.2%.
The Wall Street Journal Dollar Index climbed 0.1% to 97.15.
In commodities, Brent crude rose 0.4% to $80.17 a barrel, and WTI crude rose 0.4% to $76.14 a barrel. The European benchmark price for natural gas, the Dutch futures contract TTF, was up 3.3% to 41.85 euros a megawatt hour.
The German 10-year Bund yield climbed by 3 basis points to 2.966% from 2.932%, and the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury fell by 4 basis points to 4.46% from 4.46%. Bond prices and yields move in opposite directions.
