The Second Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate Court on Thursday directed the police to preserve the CCTV footages of Krishnalanka police station from May 1 to June 1, 2006.A youth, Gade Sai Krishna (25), who was allegedly picked up by the Krishnalanka police of NTR Commissionerate in connection with a case has been missing for the last 40 days.The victim’s mother, Gade Vijaya Lakshmi, who alleged that her son was beaten to death by the police, filed a petition in the Second Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate Court, seeking directions to the police to preserve and protect the video records, CCTV footages of the Krishnalanka police.Responding to the petition, the court directed to secure, preserve and produce the CCTV footages and the CDRs.Advocate Mallemudi Satish Babu, arguing on behalf of the petitioner, said to unearth the truth the CCTV footages and other vital evidences need to be preserved.The court also directed to produce the Call Data Records (CDRs) of the mobile phones of Sai Krishna and his mother, to find out their exact location, during the same period.Meanwhile, leaders of various political parties demanded action against NTR Police Commissioner S.V. Rajashekar Babu, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and the South Zone Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), alleging that they acted negligently in Sai Krishna’s missing case.
