The Thiruvananthapuram Principal Sessions Court on Friday postponed the hearing on an anticipatory bail plea filed by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and actor G. Krishna Kumar and his daughter, Diya Krishna, to June 18. The court has directed the Museum police to submit the case records before the next hearing.
The police had registered a case on the basis of a complaint by Ms. Diya’s former employees at her jewellery outlet in the city. The trio accused the actor and his family of abducting them under the pretence of resolving their financial dispute and later threatening and extorting money from them.
