The proposed package forms part of a broader agreement that could significantly reshape relations between the two long-time adversaries.

The United States has unveiled the full text of a 14-point Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Iran, proposing a far-reaching peace and economic framework that includes a minimum $300billion reconstruction and development package for the Islamic Republic.

A copy of the memorandum seen by SaharaReporters shows that the US government and Iran have outlined a roadmap aimed at ending military hostilities, easing sanctions, addressing Iran’s nuclear programme and revitalising the country's economy after years of crippling restrictions.

One of the most striking provisions commits the United States and its regional partners to develop “a mutually agreed plan of at least $300 billion for Iran’s reconstruction and economic development.”

The proposed package forms part of a broader agreement that could significantly reshape relations between the two long-time adversaries.
