The food safety teams of the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) conducted inspections at multiple restaurants and eateries across the Cyberabad region on Thursday, June 18, and detected hygiene and food safety violations, including cockroach infestation, stale food storage, poor sanitation and improper labelling practices.At Bahar Cafe in Madeenaguda, officials found eggs used for baking being stored without proper cleaning, increasing the risk of contamination. The premises were found to be infested with cockroaches, while the manufacturing unit had uneven and slippery flooring. Rusted baking trays were being used and pigeons were spotted in the raw material storage area. Inspectors also noted that finished products carried only batch numbers and lacked manufacturing and expiry date labels.
