The All-Women Police, Red Hills, have arrested a 50-year-old man under the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offence(POCSO) Act for allegedly sexually assaulting a four-year-old girl near Red Hills.The accused, identified as Kaali, a daily-wage labourer, was acquainted with the child’s family. The girl’s parents used to leave their children at home while they went out to work. On Tuesday evening, Kaali took the child to his house and sexually assaulted her.Her parents noticed a change in her behaviour and learned of the incident after questioning her. They lodged a police complaint. After an inquiry, the police arrested Kaali. He was remanded in judicial custody on Wednesday. Published - June 18, 2026 07:14 pm IST
