The Anambra State Police Command has provided financial support to facilitate urgent medical treatment of the 10-year-old boy, who was allegedly subjected to severe abuse by his guardians in Isiowulu in Idemili North Local Government Area of the state.

The boy whose viral video was seen on social media with a scalded body, showing injuries on all parts of his body, allegedly inflicted on him by his guardian, a woman and her husband, is currently receiving medical treatment under state protection.

In a press statement released on Thursday, the Anambra State Police spokesman, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said the command expressed concern and rendering support for medical care after witnessing the severity of the child’s condition and pain.

Ikenga said the gesture underscores the Command’s commitment to protecting vulnerable members of the society, especially children and ensuring that victims of abuse receive the necessary care and support.
