The Anambra State Police Command has secured the remand of a husband and wife, Mr Chukwudi Chukwuyere and Mrs Chisom Chukwuyere, over their alleged involvement in the abuse of a 10-year-old boy in Isiowulu community of the state.
The police said the suspects — Chukwudi Chukwuyere, 40, and Chisom Chukwuyere, 30 — were remanded in a correctional centre after they were arraigned in court following the conclusion of preliminary investigations into the case.

In a statement issued on Thursday, June 25, 2026, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Anambra State Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said the remand of the couple followed the Command’s intervention in the matter and the completion of initial investigations.
