However, recent data suggests our favourite refreshments are carrying far more tracking sugar than many of us realise. A recent "Business Tech" analysis of nearly 40 carbonated beverages available on local shelves has put the spotlight back on the country's love affair with sugary drinks.

The findings reveal that some popular beverages contain more than 13 grams of sugar per 100ml. This turns a simple thirst-quencher into a massive source of hidden sugar.
