The police have issued a warning over a job scam doing the rounds.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) is urging members of the public to be cautious of deceptive posts online, adding that it is deeply concerned by the rise in fraudulent police trainee recruitment ads doing the rounds.
SAPS reiterated that official job openings are exclusively posted on the SAPS website at saps.gov.za.
To prevent the spread of fraudulent activity, members of the public are strongly cautioned against sharing or forwarding these deceptive links and posts. It is critical to note that the SAPS will never ask for payment at any point during the recruitment process.
Any such solicitation should be considered a scam and reported immediately.
