Nova Scotia Crime: A major development has emerged in the death investigation in Greenfield, Kings County, Nova Scotia, with the Southwest Nova RCMP Major Crime Unit (SWN MCU) confirming that the suspicious death is now being treated as a homicide. The case came to light after RCMP officials responded to a report of a deceased man located outside a residence on Peck Meadow Rd.“On June 11 at approximately 3:50 a.m., Kings District RCMP responded to a report of a deceased man located outside a residence on Peck Meadow Rd. The man’s death was believed to be suspicious and the SWN MCU took carriage of the investigation,” Nova Scotia RCMP said in a press release.Investigators worked with the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service to determine the manner of the man's death, which was ultimately ruled a homicide. A person was arrested on June 11, 2026 in relation to the incident. They were later released without charges.Police said the information and evidence gathered so far suggest the incident was targeted. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not released any details about the victim.
