The incident came to light after Halifax Regional Police responded to a reported stabbing in the 6500 block of Bayers Road around 3:35 p.m. on Saturday (May 23, 2026), CTV News reported, citing a news release.Upon arriving at the scene, officers breached the door and arrested the suspect, identified as 41‑year‑old Marley White. The victim, who sustained serious injuries, was rushed to the hospital. Police confirmed that the victim and White were known to each other. White is scheduled to appear in court to face charges of attempted murder, possession of a dangerous weapon, and uttering threats.Meanwhile, in another incident that surfaced in Halifax, the remains of a missing newborn baby were discovered after a two‑day search, and authorities confirmed that two individuals are now facing charges.According to CTV News, Halifax Regional Police said the baby’s remains were located Sunday around 3:20 p.m. in a wooded area off Old Coach Road during the investigation. Authorities confirmed on Saturday that they had taken four individuals into custody for questioning. While two were later released, the remaining two now face charges.Police identified them as Sukhpreet Singh, 23, a relative of the woman, and his wife Ramandeep Kaur, 26. Both face charges of concealing the body of a child, obstruction, and indignity to a dead body.
