Social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has led residents of Oyo State in a protest demanding the eviction of bandits from the state.
VeryDarkMan, alongside numerous protesters on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, called for urgent intervention by the Bola Tinubu-led Nigerian government, following the recent kidnapping of schoolchildren and teachers in Orire Local Government Area of the state.

The protesters, who marched in large numbers, were heard chanting “Bandits must go” and “Leave our land” as they made their way through the area.
