Today we’re announcing that Threads has reached 500 million monthly active users, a milestone that reflects people’s desire for a public space built around conversation. This growth is driven by communities — groups of people showing up around the conversations they care about, from books to basketball to parenting to music. Those communities built Threads into what it is and now, we’re adding new tools to help them become even more meaningful and dynamic.
New Features for Communities on Threads
Our communities feature has been one of the fastest-growing features on Threads since it launched last year. Today, we’re graduating communities out of beta and delivering some of the most-requested features as we invest in the people and communities that got us here:
Communities Hub: We’re making it easier to find and switch between communities by adding them to the main menu to the left of your feed.
Community Icons: Communities now have their own distinct visual identities, making them easier to spot and recognize across Threads.
