Forget rooftop pools and pillow menus, some of Europe’s coolest hotels are now competing on sound.
From vinyl-only listening bars in Athens to audiophile cocktail lounges in London, a new wave of design-led hotels is turning music into the main event, transforming lobbies, restaurants and basements into immersive spaces built around analogue sound, curated DJs and intentional listening.
Across the continent, a new generation of hotels are focused on providing more than just a place to stay, integrating music-led programming into their offerings, inspired by an increasing number of travellers enjoying musical experiences across their trips, including in the dining and nightlife spaces.
Leading the way is Okupa, an urban hub in Athens, which combines hotel stays, shared work spaces, a restaurant, and a cafe.
Since it opened in 2024, Okupa has been focused on bringing music to its guests.
