In Europe we’re a bit spoiled for choice when it comes to choosing somewhere nice to stay – especially when it’s a shiny new hotel.

Just look at this year, for example, where we have already seen the opening of many standout properties, including the Orient Express Venezia, the Six Senses in London, and the Four Seasons Hotel Mykonos, to name just three.

While the newest hotels will always grab the headlines and attract the trendy crowd, what about those properties which have continued to stand “the test of time”? That’s the question posed by the editors at Esquire when compiling their new Hall of Fame list, which includes 21 hotels around the world.
