Two passengers join college students as they perform Badaga dance on the occasion of Yatri Suvidha Diwas at Coimbatore International Airport on Monday.

Various programmes for passengers and staff working at the Coimbatore International Airport marked the celebration of Yatri Suvidha Diwas 2026 on Monday. Celebrations commenced with the traditional welcoming of passengers with tika/tilak. Students of Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women performed Badaga dance for them.Employees of the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and representatives of stakeholder organisations rendered Vande Mataram, reflecting the spirit of patriotism, said Airport Director Mohammad Arif.A total of 20 persons donated blood in a camp organised in coordination with the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital. A health check-up camp organised in collaboration with Royal Care Super Speciality Hospital benefited over 180 persons, including airport employees, stakeholder staff, passengers, and visitors. Over 110 persons, including airport taxi drivers, airport and stakeholder staff, passengers and visitors underwent eye screening and consultations in an eye camp organised in association with Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital, he said.
