The Kogi State Police Command has commenced a statewide enforcement exercise against vehicles operating with covered, obscured, unauthorised, defaced, invalid or missing registration number plates as part of efforts to enhance security and curb criminal activities across the state.

The operation, which began on Monday, follows a directive from the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, aimed at preventing the use of unidentifiable vehicles for criminal activities.

The Commissioner of Police in Kogi State, Naziru Bello Kankarofi, has directed Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers and Motor Traffic Police personnel to ensure strict enforcement of the directive across their jurisdictions.
