Crystal Palace has confirmed Pierre Sage as its new head coach, handing the 47-year-old Frenchman a three-year contract with an option for a fourth season. He officially takes the reins on July 6 as the club gears up for the 2026-27 Premier League campaign.

The deal comes with a compensation fee of approximately €5 million, or roughly $5.8 million, paid to RC Lens. That figure could climb with performance-based add-ons.

From Lens to London

Sage arrives in south London off the back of a remarkable season at RC Lens. He guided the French club to a second-place finish in Ligue 1 and won the Coupe de France.

Crystal Palace and Sage reached an agreement in principle around June 9-10, giving both parties nearly a month to sort the paperwork before his official start date.
