MANILA, Philippines – State-run Land Bank of the Philippines and the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) have teamed up to strengthen funding in irrigated areas.
The two agencies signed an agreement to expand access to affordable financing and support services for farmers.

“The agreement aims to expand lending opportunities, enhance farm productivity, and support food security in irrigated areas by delivering coordinated, targeted support to farming communities across the country,” LandBank said in a statement on Monday.
