Prof. Gaétan de Rassenfosse has been awarded a grant by armasuisse to study how autonomous AI systems ca be used to automatically track, analyze and report on new technologies.A new research project at EPFL will examine how agentic artificial intelligence (AI) can transform technology monitoring.Led by Prof. Gaétan de Rassenfosse and funded by armasuisse, the project entitled "Exploration of Agentic AI for Technology Monitoring" focuses on using autonomous AI systems to continuously identify, analyze and report on emerging technologies.The research will be carried out within the Chair of Science, Technology and Innovation Policy (STIP) at EPFL, with a focus on Multi-Agent Systems (MAS)—networks of AI agents that collaborate to perform complex tasks more efficiently and autonomously.Through this collaboration, the project seeks to advance new AI-driven approaches to technology monitoring, improving the speed, scale and quality of strategic insights in a rapidly evolving and increasingly complex technological landscape.
