A 19-year old ophthalmic assistant working at a private hospital here allegedly died by suicide on Saturday.Police identified the deceased woman as V. Shanmugapriya from Kadayanallur. She had completed her two-year mid-level training course at the same hospital and was subsequently employed there. She was also staying in accommodation provided by the hospital.On Saturday night, Shanmugapriya allegedly died by suicide in her room. Upon finding the body, her roommates alerted the hospital authorities, who informed the police.Tirunelveli police sent the body to Tirunelveli Government Medical College and Hospital for postmortem examination.
