South Peninsula (SP) High School’s girls’ football team has earned a place at the Super Soccer Schools National Tournament and is now appealing for community support to help fund its trip to Gqeberha in August.
The tournament will see the team compete against some of the country’s top school sides.
The team secured its spot at the prestigious national competition after winning the provincial Super Soccer Schools tournament in April, earning them the chance to test their skills on a bigger stage.
SP girls' football coach Qasim Davids said the national tournament will be highly competitive, with three teams from each province participating.
