The 22-year-old had been rushed to the hospital, which has a specialist burns unit, after suffering severe injuries, Lancs Live reports.During a brief inquest opening at Preston Coroners' Court, Area Coroner Kate Bisset confirmed the initial circumstances surrounding the tragedy. "This lady died as a consequence of burns having set herself on fire," Ms Bisset said.Article continues belowThe court heard that Miss Hama was born in Iraq in 2003 and lived at Greenhurst Close in Blackburn. Her body was formally identified to police officers at the hospital using her medical wristband.Following the opening statements, Ms Bisset adjourned the proceedings.
