MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Loren Legarda extended relief operations, which she personally funded, in General Santos City on Saturday and in Sarangani on Sunday, reaching families hardest hit by the recent earthquake, according to a statement released by her office.
Legarda said she used no government funds, as part of her continuing commitment to support communities in times of crisis.
Since June 10, the Lingkod Loren team has been monitoring the situation on the ground, assessing urgent needs, and coordinating with local officials.
