Samuel Ogbuku, regarded as a youth and intellectual activist for improvement of the oil region, has explained why he fights in the tech sector too.

Ogbuku, once a youth activist, now Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has charged youths in the Niger Delta region to seize opportunities provided by the Port Harcourt Tech Expo to create wealth, secure employment, and drive innovation.

Since taking over responsibility at the helm of affairs at the NDDC, Ogbuku has tried to drive youth energy away from violent agitation to development-based activism which involves channeling the energy to supporting development initiatives in the oil region.

Speaking during a two-day technology conference and exhibition organised by TechNexus Limited, and sponsored by the NDDC in Port Harcourt, Ogbuku urged young people to take ownership of their future by leveraging platforms like the Tech Expo to develop skills and build sustainable careers.
