LAGOS – The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria has condemned the recent abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo and Borno states, describing the incidents as acts of terrorism and calling for the immediate and unconditional release of all victims.
The Amir of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria, Barrister Azeez Alatoye, described the kidnappings as acts of cruelty and criminality that have no place in religion or humanity.
According to him, the abductions represent a grave assault on human dignity and should be condemned by all people of conscience.
Alatoye stressed that such acts are contrary to the teachings of Islam, noting that the Holy Prophet Muhammad was sent as a mercy to humanity, as stated in the Holy Qur’an.
